Serious Concerns About Food Quality and Customer Service at Hamle Mediterranean Market!
I am deeply disappointed with my recent online order from Hamle Mediterranean Market. The baklava (advertised as air mailed from Turkey) and pistachio cookies (Turkish food) I ordered were not only rotten and expired but had also completely lost their shape, indicating poor storage, shipping and handling. Upon contacting customer support to address the issue, I was met with a response that was dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to my frustration.

It's disheartening to see a grocery store not standing by its products, especially when it involves food safety. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the overwhelmingly positive reviews online and the quality of service and products I received, raising concerns about the authenticity of those reviews.

I will be reporting this matter to the Food Safety Authority to ensure that no other customer has to experience what I went through. It's crucial for potential customers to be aware of these issues. I strongly advise exercising caution and considering other local options where quality and customer respect are priorities

I won’t be ordering food from Hamle again. I placed my order 2 days ago and yet to receive a shipment notice. I guess they will ship whenever they want. Their shipping department has a phone number that goes to voicemail, they don’t bother to pick up the phone. Also had a problem with the payment system on their website and haven’t received a response on when it would be fixed. Both Gourmeturca and Altin Grocery have better customer service, I guess I’ll take my business to them.

Everything arrived spoiled and smelly. Food was unrefrigerated for almost three days - including cheese and meats. Unreal that I paid $175 for ruined products. Do not buy from here.

I have ordered from Hamle Market a couple times now and have not run into problems. However my latest order of Sarelle bars were just thrown into a box loose and shipped that way. Out of the 5 we have opened to date, all 5 have been smashed or broken. I contacted their customer service but the only response I received asked me to send them a picture of every bar - well I ordered 14 of them, not every one has been opened yet, but they all rattle in their respective packages. Customer service also said that they always ship them this way and have never had a problem - which is both untrue (we've ordered them from this store previously) and completely unbelievable. They may have a good selection of Turkish stuff, but I'd avoid them unless its completely necessary.

Good place for Turkish stuff. Next to a Turkish bakery, ikram and an awesome Armenian restaurant, Moonlight. Service is awesome at all three establishments. Wish they open earlier than 11 a.m. though. But the market opens up early-ish.

Been visiting there any chance I get. It is a 2 hour drive each way.

I was next door at Ikram Grill enjoying a doner when I stumbled on this place on our way out.

I love me a niche market and this is definitely one. They sell all sorts of European snacks and ingredients and frozen food. I was super excited when I saw that they sell Burek in the frozen section. There are a few places in OC that serve it but it’s a far drive for one item. I love that I can buy them frozen and air fry them or bake them in the oven for a quick snack. I can’t wait to try these and the other items from here:)
