The prices at American Discount are great we have a discount foods in Peoria Arizona but this store puts that one to shame. It's going to be worth the trip every other month just to get everything like we did. Spent over $180.00 dollars and filled up my big freezer with meat and dinners. And the service is very good better than most grocery stores in the valley. 6/18/24 Just came back today and the prices are still great and the employees are friendly and helpful. This is why I keep coming back and I live in Peoria Arizona so it's worth the 90 minute drive.

If you understand how contrived expiration dates are, you will have no problem here. You need to get over your phobia of the things immediately going rotten at the stroke of midnight. They have great deals on items that are high quality. They take care of customers over corporate interests. Great prices if you understand how food works. So many people have been gone into thinking that something turns into a dinosaur at midnight. Good stuff, my first time was today. I will return! Very lucky it's in the neighborhood!

Only came across canned tomato sauce with exp 4/24 but they guarantee your purchase on foods that are past !
Frozen cakes for your celebrations,
Frozen Deli meat slices , fresh veggies, excellent variety of our favorite drinks. You have see for your self. Very pleased .

I absolutely Love this place. They are open to the public. No membership required. You can find amazing deals on cases of meat. I was able to get 40 lbs of chicken thighs and legs for $22! Great quality meat! They have a little bit of everything, including a frozen section and produce section. I highly recommend going to their website and signing up to get the $5 coupon to use on your first trip.
The employee we dealt with was wonderfully pleasant and you could tell she loved her job. She informed me of the "wheel". Ask about the wheel, it's worth it.
The store was clean, stocked very well, not claustrophobic, and organized neatly.
This is a grocery liquidator store, so you might not find everything on your list, but you will definitely find the best value for what you get.

Excellent way to cut your grocery budget! They have a little bit of everything and can feel like a treasure hunt! Lots of main staples as well as high-end options for a fraction of the price of your neighborhood grocery store. I shop here once or twice a month and plan many meals around the items I purchase and then get the rest of what I need other places.
We love that they honor the military veterans with a 10% discount on Thursdays. We also like to know that we're supporting a small business and the wheel of prizes is a fun way to get an added surprise that saves money in the future.
This store is not "fancy", but nobody knows where the food comes from once it's home!
About the expiration dates- yes, I look at all of the dates and use my judgment to decide what I'm comfortable with. I've been shopping at American Discount for 12 years and have maybe gotten a handful of things that I wished I would have skipped, but they will refund if you bring your items back.

Overall this place is a budget saver and I'm grateful to have this opportunity when times are tough.

Has been a great place to shop and save money. From meats to fruit. And the breakfast sandwiches are great. Have gotten many delicious desserts. Have shared with many friends about your store.

Selection of what I expected was disappointing. I think items can change based on what comes in. So it can vary. I went on a Thursday. The staff however was very helpful and pleasant. Service was great. I did see people with full carts. So obviously what you are aiming to get can depend on each person. Just was not what I expected.
