I placed an order from a company and didn't realize it was going to be delivered by freight carrier. After I called R&L panicking about my rural driveway on the phone, R&L Carriers informed me about the size of the truck and their professional drivers' ability to assess the situation upon delivery. True to form, upon arrival, Jose Fuerguero (I'm sure I've misspelled that), the driver was experienced, professional, and calm about my delivery. Yes, it was a slight challenge to turn the vehicle around in the small space, but Jose was amazing. What skill. You must be proud to have someone that experienced on your team. These days, loyalty between companies and employees might be at an all-time low, but I think we should celebrate the small good moments whenever we can. And as customers we should give out praise when it is possible and genuine. Even Jerry the dispatcher was kind and friendly. The delivery item may have just been a bunch of posts and wire mesh but you've actually delivered a dream come true, 9 years in the waiting, to me. So thank you so much. Keep up the great spirit and thank you for delivering so professionally.

Good experience with the receptionist and very kind. fork lift driver was ok besides him not hitting my truck and not paying attention to what and how to drop the pallet on the truck. But yes good customer services and helpful when I called over there.

Our product arrived in excellent condition and the R+L trucker delivering was polite and helpful. This also goes for the phone customer service. I was very concerned reading all these bad reviews and expected the worst. The pallet material (130 lbs) and the heavy petrified wood sink arrived without any damage. Great service.

After reading so many of the negative reviews here, I was rather disturbed that the company which I purchased my product through used this carrier, but I need to make clear that my experience could not have been better.
The tracking was good, and gave me a pretty good idea as to what day the delivery would be made.
The dispatcher called me on the day of delivery, and left a detailed message letting me know that the product was enroute.
When I called back, not only was a greeted by a very polite lady, she gave me a very good "guesstimate" as to when the delivery would occur, and told me what towns deliveries were occurring in prior to mine, so I could really get a god idea of when this delivery would occur.
When the truck did show up, the driver called me, I met him in the street and armed with a pallet jack he offered to deliver my item [on a skid] anywhere I wanted, turned out where we were was just fine.
I myself had a very very positive experience with R&L and would not hesitate to use them again.

I do often have damaged freight due to stacking pallets and forklift forks though.

The called the wrong number. Then extremely rude. Lied about conversations despite we have the call log to prove it. Told my wife one thing then tried to back peddle. Said the conversation she had with me was different. Flat out said I said I said something I didn't. It is a whole disaster. My wife lost it on them out of frustration with the repeated lies and refusal to listen. Called one guy said it would be redelivered, the liar said that person doesn't have the authority. It is clear from the reviews this is par for the course. We will never use them again.

Ordered an item online. I did not get to pick the shipping company. I got this company. I got a text message a week before possible delivery giving me three different days for delivery, with delivery times of all 10am-2pm. I called and picked one. At 2pm the day of delivery I called to ask where my package was and she told me all deliveries would be delivered 9-5 instead. I mentioned where I got 10-2 from and that I spoke to someone the following week and she confirmed it and the customer service person told me the person I spoke to should've told me 9-5 was correct not the text message of 10-2. Either way, waited around until 5 and still didn't receive the package yet. I called again and the customer service person did not care at all as to why I was calling and told me the driver still had 5 more stops before me. I told her to cancel the delivery and reschedule. The delivery driver still called me to let me know he was coming at 5:45, but I told him I cancelled. He said he hadn't heard from dispatch, the person I spoke to. She called the next day and tried to pick a new day, with a time of 10am-2pm. I told her she told me Thursday that 9-5 was normal delivery time and she stated and she mentioned sometimes they make exceptions....hmmm interesting. Anyway I scheduled to pick it up instead just so I wouldn't have to go through this again. Pretty bad when you have to rent a vehicle to pick up a package at a shipping company because you don't trust them to ship it to you. Will never use this company again.
